25) Supply and demand in the US economy ultimately determines the following:

1. The amount of sales tax charged per item.
   
2. The amount that a product or service will cost based on the availability of said product or service and the consumer demand for it.
   
3. The need of Congress to find revenue for paying down the federal deficit.
   
4. The amount of persons that the US food stamp program is able to support.

Supply and demand has nothing to do with taxes, paying down the deficit, or food stamps.
