11) What happens when a second SATA 3.0 drive is added to a SATA controller that already contains a SATA 1.5 drive?

Explanation

SATA specifications and hardware permit only one device on each SATA cable. Each drive receives its own cable to the interface of the computer. Multiple cable connections are available on the SATA controller for expansion. The speed difference between the devices will not cause a problem.

Exam Objective: 1.7 Compare and contrast various connection interfaces and explain their purpose.
