Online tests are also available as PDFs that can be printed if needed.

The ACT Prep Plus book shows you a bunch of practice tests and exercises that you can complete and you can even check your answers. The great thing about this book is that if you get an answer wrong, you can look up the explanation in the book so you can better understand your mistakes to avoid them on the actual test.

I bought this SAT & the Kaplan ACT books for my grandson who is graduating next year & needed a study guide for these two separate test. We are not sure what college he'll be attending we thought best to buy both study guides. What I did like upon reviewing each of the guides is comprehensive study for subjects that he would be tested on. Additionally, that there is also online tutorial & tutoring if needed. I am sure that tutoring is a additional price. But, overall I think that the book could assist my grandson in scoring high on either test

I purchased two copies of this book for my sons. Do not wait for the American public school system to educate your children. Students should be studying this book two years before their high school graduation. Important for students to learn their weaknesses. ACT and SAT scores play an important role in receiving scholarships and acceptance. If you child is an athlete, ACT and SAT scores are still important. Also buy other books that will aid your child in learning.

We combined this book with Barron's ACT Flash Cards, 2nd Edition: 410 Flash Cards to Help You Achieve a Higher Score to help her focus on her weaker part. Not only did those improve, but the sections she had done well on, she made improvements as well.

The teaching sections of this course are still good, but the full length tests are not realistic in terms of difficulty (they are much easier than the real ACT), and there are still a good number of errors in the book that should be corrected. (I have tried to contact Kaplan to tell them of the errors but no one ever gets back to me.) The sections on the new writing section are good.
Again, for the first half of the book this is a good buy. But the tests are not the best for preparing students for the real ACT.
