I feel like I did well on the test this year, but am not completely confident. I wanted a 5, but may have to settle for a 4 because there was very little content on this year's test. For example, I studied photosynthesis and cellular respiration in detail. There were 2 questions about these in the entire 69 question multiple choice section and none in the free response questions. Instead, the test measured analytical skills with numerous charts and graphs. It should have been called AP Reading, not AP Biology. This frustrated me because I was a diligent student all year and put a lot of time into this book.
Nevertheless, I cannot blame this book for the test writers' odd strategy. The book had everything I wanted- concise content, helpful information about the test format, and two complete practice tests. I would recommend it to those who want to know the content of the AP Biology course. The content MIGHT be tested next year. This would be a great idea for those who are supposed to test our knowledge of the course's content. Anyway, regardless of my rants about the faults of the test, this book is highly recommended.
