Too many mistakes. Not worth the price paid.
Too many mistakes in the book. Something as important as this should not have errors. If a student doesn't have someone to turn to for help they can end up more confused after using this book. Guess they need a 7th edition to fix the mistakes.

I had to take this test last year. I found this book extremely helpful, I felt very well prepared for the test and didn't have a hard time taking it. Where I took the test you do not get a numerical grade which was rather frustrating but I got into all the schools I applied to so i'm assuming I probably did well. Great study tool if your taking any of the three tests for applications.

I bought this book to review for an upcoming HS entrance exam. Since it covers several types of exams, there are chapters that aren't applicable to my situation. So even though the book is quite thick and intimidating looking, it really is manageable once you get started. Lots of practice tests too. I bought another book that is focused on theories and strategy, so I needed a book with practice tests to monitor my progress.

Mos are minor, however, his year.. I had 4 students out of 50 whose book was missing HSPT practice test 2. This was maddening, since we were using it in a full, timed, practice exam.

Like all standardized tests ACT/SAT have an overall and understanding of how the test works, types of questions and a little practice the student will feel more comfortable and score higher on exam day. Like any test prep unless they do the sample tests and learn why the get wrong answers the prep will not help.
