Section Description

Biological Sciences

Biological Sciences is the final section you'll tackle on MCAT test day. After a ten-minute post-Writing break, you'll spend 100 minutes answering 77 questions in biology and organic chemistry. As with Physical Sciences, the facts you'll need to know are covered in most introductory-level college courses, but you will need to study to have material fresh in mind. And as in Physical Sciences, you will be asked to read passages from journal articles that use those pre-med science concepts in real scientific applications. Then you'll be asked questions that rely on both your science knowledge and your understanding of the passage you've just read.
